Code of Conduct
These conventions are intended to make our School a safe, pleasant and efficient place in which to work and play by encouraging courteous, considerate behaviour and respect for others.
Respect for the School
Pupils must come to School fully equipped for the day’s work and must at all times conduct themselves properly and with courtesy, so as to bring credit to themselves, their parents and the School.
Infringement cards must be carried at all times.
The official School uniform must be worn during School hours and when travelling to and from School. No jewellery or make-up may be worn. No trainers or trainer-type shoe, no plimsolls or plimsoll-like shoes can be worn.
Pupils may eat food only in the designated dining area or outside; there is to be no eating in the classrooms or corridors. Chewing gum is forbidden.
Litter must be disposed of in the bins provided. Classrooms must always be left in a clean and tidy condition.
Rules for the Safety of Yourselves and Your Property
All books, articles of clothing and other personal belongings must be marked clearly with the owner’s name. Any articles or money found on the premises must be handed in to reception.
Pupils must not bring any valuable items or large sums of money to School. If, on rare occasions, this is necessary, the items must be handed in for safe-keeping to reception. They must never be left in the classrooms, cloakrooms, changing-rooms, playground etc. The School cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage to personal belongings.
No pupil is allowed off the School premises during the School day (which includes lunch-time) without permission.
Safety and Consideration for Others
Pupils are forbidden from smoking when in School uniform. They may not carry matches, lighters, cigarettes nor potentially dangerous items such as fireworks and knives.
Movement about the School must be quiet and orderly, keeping to the left in corridors and on staircases.
Bicycles must not be ridden around the School grounds and must be left securely padlocked in the stands provide The bike area is out of bounds during the school day.
