EPS Sports Partnership
Emerson Park Specialist Sports College has been the hub site for the Emerson Park School Sport Partnership since 2004. The School Sport Partnership (SSP) is a key component of the national PE & Sports Strategy for Young People. The Emerson Park SSP consists of 40 schools (10 Secondary Schools, 30 Primary, Junior and Infant Schools) and both Havering Colleges, with over 23,000 students aged 5 – 19.
The aim of the Emerson Park SSP is to work strategically with schools, community sports clubs and national governing bodies of sport to extend the range of opportunities available to pupils, share expertise, knowledge, and facilities to ensure access to high quality PE & Sport as part of achieving the national 5 hour offer. The School and its Partnership are at the cutting edge of national programmes for developing PE & School Sport and have developed a wide range of opportunities since our launch in September 2004. These opportunities include: Partnership Festivals, FUNdamental Clubs, Multi Skills Clubs, Multi Skill Academies, Junior Athlete Education Programme, Cerebral Palsy Football Club and Sports Leadership & Community Volunteering Programmes.
