Emerson Park is lead school in the Havering Teacher Training Partnership. The work of our Training Subject Mentors is widely acclaimed. Two of our staff members are Subject Leaders across the Partnership in the Borough. We are honoured to have in our midst one of the Training Managers and original architects of the scheme.
A large number of local, prospective teaching professionals apply for a place on this training scheme every year. We have trained many teachers since this scheme began, many of whom have gone on to highly successful careers. We have also recruited high calibre colleagues for our own school through this scheme.
As a Training School we remain at the forefront of pedagogical developments. We are continuously exploring new, innovative processes to secure successful teaching and learning practises in the classroom. Our work as a Training School contributes to high standards and quality of supervision in our own classrooms.
As a lead provider of education and training, the Havering Teacher Training Partnership is subject to inspection and quality assurance processes laid down by the Office for Standards in Education. In our last inspection we have received an OUTSTANDING report.
