Commitment to Investor in Careers Standards & Award
We are pleased to confirm the support of the Senior Leadership Team and the Governing body of Emerson Park School to achieving the Investor in Careers Award.
We are keen to deliver a comprehensive career and work related programme throughout the school and we are working hard to embed careers education and guidance into the whole curriculum.
We have nominated Mrs Crawley from our Senior Leadership team and Mrs Adams our Careers Co-ordinator to progress with the process of obtaining the Investors in Careers Award for this school.
This is a three stage process, the first which is registering our commitment; we hope to pass by half term. The second stage relates to the development of relevant policies and a planned programme for learners supporting Careers Education and Guidance. Most, if not all of this we have in place already. Stage three relates to the delivery and evaluation of CEG which includes a presentation to an external panel. We hope to have completed all three stages by the end of 2010.
We look forward to working with you all to achieve the objective as we believe that all young people deserve the best provision to prepare them for the choices and decisions facing young adults in the 21st century.
